"Glimpse of memories" Photo by Veronica Enciso

     Lakbay Aral has been a very memorable event for me. Not only because we have fun but because we entertain. I learned one simple thing, that things are balanced the way we are and the way we do. That the past and the history made the present and today; that today and the present can make the future and tomorrow. In simple words, the art of history in terms of tradition, religion and arts make the arts of today.
     The picture "Glimpse of memories." prove that we can learn while we entertain. Everybody may become fail, others can jump high, others cannot, some fail and others succeed, others lower themselves and others rise. But one thing is what I can say in these picture, if all the things I say combines in one time, that would make a total group of what we call "FRIENDS".

Itineraries

These are the itineraries the Third Year students visited:

"Historically, religiously starter." Photo from Google Images

• The Padre Garcia Church - "Historically inclined."
       The Padre Garcia church is one of the proudest  churches in Batangas found in Padre Garcia. A relaxing view of the small church would make the visitors have more faith with God.
       This is the Padre Garcia Church, the first stop of the trip, the students take time to start the trip with a prayer.Then, we gathered to the next gym to have a historical recall.

• The Pots of Hardwork - "Art from sweat and soils."
       This is the Pot Factory of the Brgy. Palahanan at San Juan, Batangas made from the artistic hands of pot makers. Armed with their imagination, time and skills, they made cheap but high quality pots.
       Next stop, after a trailing ride...The Pottery Making were students watched and learn in how to make pots. There were also little souvenirs sold.

• The Coconut nut is a giant nut - "Each variety is unique, in his own ways."
       Welcome folks! Bringing back at the oldies. The Lambanog wine of Jimmy's Lambanog at Brgy. Lipahan, San Juan, Batangas was one of the oldest founded at 1978.
       Students! Pay attention! The third itinerary visited was the Jimmy's Lambanugan wherein students watch and learn the processes of making a Lambanog wine discussed by an employer. Students may take a shot or glimpse of a taste of Lambanog.

• The Beauty of the Best - "Everything's free with nature's spree."
       The best setting for me folks, the splendor of Laiya Landco, showing the beauty and radiance of the nature, packed with its white sands, blue seas and quiet environment make itself a living paradaise.
       Under the heat, students would still take the chance to go to this picturesque scene and enjoy the small time given. We are given enough time to rest and enjoy the brilliance.

• Eating Time - "Full stomachs to regain power."
       Tired and feed with hunger, the Third Year Students took a stop at San Juan Plaza to fill their stomachs and replenish their energy.

• The Art in Nature - "One way to see it, is to find it."
       Another favorite of mine is the religously, adventurous place known as the Station of the Cross found at Rosario, Batangas City. This is a thrilling place wherein you have to find the 14 stations in the middle of a forest-like park, at the end of your line you would see a fantastic church molded by time and nature. More thrilling are the caves in darkness.
       Students are grooved to this different destination, roaming around the stations. Some tried to go inside the caves and some just relaxed the natural church.

• Shield of sleep - "Blankets made us feel secure through the night."
       Another form of hand and time traditional art is the blanket making. The Kumot Making visited by the Thirdy Year studennts. Artistic enthusiastic would be very happy in this trip.
       Students visited the Kumot making in Ibaan Batangas.

• The Art of Making Protection - "It seems very old but very strong."
       The last but not the least, Kulambo making in Ibaan, Batangas.
       Another art form, students take a short look at the creative making of Kulambo.

• Let's get the beat startin - "Here comes another fun."
      Since this is the last place we've been visiting. We live our lives to the fullest, Third Year Students last adventure "ends" at Robinson's Place Lipa. Student roam, eat, play and entertain themselves.

LAST-February 1, 2013, Friday, The University of Batangas conducted an Educational Program called "Lakbay Aral" in whole province of Batangas. The third year students were given a fun time while learning outside the four corners of the classroom.
